Eric McKeever is an exciting New York based screenwriter, opera singer, audio fiction podcast producer, and roller coaster enthusiast. He’s currently in the Pre-Rainbow Pages Mentorship Program where he is honing his queer, black-centered, and women over forty inspired works, because, let’s face it, that’s what’s hot in the market, right? But it seems like people like it, for instance, he was just named the 2026 Grand Prize Winner of the Stage 32 TV Comedy Screenwriting Contest and his scripts have also been a Top 50 Selection in the ISA Fast Track Fellowship, and received accolades from the competitions of Tracking B., Table Read My Screenplay, Filmmatic, and Emerging Screenwriters Competitions, among others.
As an opera singer, Eric has performed with opera companies and orchestras throughout the US and managed to rarely exhibit diva(o)-like behavior. He’s even a little famous in that world and can be heard on Bright Shiny Label’s recording of Kamala Sankaram’s Looking at You as well as on the Aqua Net and Funyuns podcast produced by NYC’s Experiments in Opera. When he’s not singing or screenwriting, he can be found working on his audio fiction creations. His two absurdist audio comedies, “The Coach” and “As The Chips Fall,” have been nominated for Best Narrative Audio Fiction with the Apulia (IT) Web Fest, The LA Web Fest, and the Baltimore Next Media Web Fest. In his spare time, of which he has none, he might be adapting operas for various companies, being co-librettist for original stage works, or writing his column, “Inside the Industry” for Classical Singer Magazine.
Eric is known for his sharp, quirky sense of humor and having ridden 28 of the top 100 roller coasters in the US. He loves to travel, cook, listen to music, watch tennis, drink coffee, and enjoys a TON of television and film. He’s based on Long-Island (moved there for love) and resides with his fantastic, grounded husband who loves him but wishes he were a bit less of a “creative,” and his two cats, Malbec and Merlot, who make him understand how people can still love their “children” even when they are bad as hell. When asked to describe his “brand,” he often responds, “Imagine Titus Andromedon from ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ mixed with the world of a John Waters film.” Many people blink twice, then walk away. But for those who stay, they find themselves engaged in a wonderful conversation.

When one of them arrives at their destination, a jerky train causes them to accidently collide, then purposely kiss.
